Port Macquarie is located approx 350km north of Sydney on the Mid North Coast of NSW.
It is a very small regional airport primarily serving charter and private flights and commercial flights from QANTAS and Virgin Australia.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the terminal or in the outside areas of the terminal.
At last visit we were directed either into the carpark or past the end of the terminal building next to a garden.
Findings
Smoker Discrimination: 9/10 – Staff were unfriendly towards smoking
Smoker Comfort: 1/10 – There are no dedicated smoking areas. The only areas close to the terminal permitted as above are not under cover and have no seating.
