Australia is one of the strict countries when it comes to smoking and our airports have been hard hit with legislation to prevent people from doing just that.
Airport Maps available on the official website do not show any smoking areas making them slightly harder to find.
The Brisbane Domestic terminal is a long building with entrances only on the ground floor.
With QANTAS at one end and Virgin Australia at the other the building is virtually divided up between the two carriers (with others in the middle).
Outdoor smoking area at the end of Virgin Australia arrivals area. The area has been fenced off but does have some seating and minimal covering.
A smoking balcony is located on level 3 after security located behind The Coffee Club (towards gates 75-79).
Areas are available outside the terminal in the forecourt however at last visit these were not well signed. Asking information staff will lead to best results. Remember no smoking within 4 meters of any undercover areas or doorways.
